Within the broader Find Your Park campaign, we developed a campaign for the National Park Foundation--the non-profit that helps fund all the parks. The core message of the Service campaign was that there's a park for everyone. The Foundation work compelled people to support the parks by showing that, no matter who you are, you are the life of the national parks. Following the release of the campaign, donations and volunteering reached record levels.
The shoot for this film was my all-time most memorable--a grueling and life-changing coast-to-coast adventure.
Whereas the Service work mashes up different kinds of parks, the Foundation work mashes up parks and people.
We created a series of cheap, fun videos (not a penny wasted) to drive donations through Facebook and Instagram by reinforcing the message that the parks and people are symbiotic—the parks and everything we enjoy in them exist thanks to the participation and generosity of everyday folks.
